Crystal Vision is a vision assistance system that helps visually impaired people interact with the modern world. We developed an AI system that can help visually impaired people recognize scene curved text, object, currency, etc. accurately and conveniently in their daily lives. This system can also help with navigation and scene understanding.
Background
In 2020, 295 million people experienced moderate or severe visual impairment globally. Over 50 million were from China.
Over 75% of visually impaired people do not venture out alone daily and face three main difficulties: Human Action Recognition, Navigation and Road Sign Recognition
Motivation: Since 2020, our team has been teaching visually impaired children English.
